of Latin America Office

Continued Business Expansion Finds Early
Success in New Market
Broadcast systems integrator TV Magic has continued its growth
across the Americas with the opening of a Latin America office.
Located in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, the new TV Magic
office will provide the region with ready access to broadcast
and A/V experts with intimate knowledge of area industry,
language, and culture. Benito Behar will serve as vice president
and general manager of the newly created company TV Magic
SRL, a Mexican business entity and TV Magic subsidiary.
"The demand for professional systems integration is strong
across many areas of the Latin American market, and our Mexico-based
engineering team is well-positioned to provide needed expertise
in educational, government, and broadcast installations, among
others," said Behar. "The TV Magic name already
enjoys an excellent reputation, and we're very pleased to
be extending the company's presence within a quickly growing
market."
Behar takes on leadership of TV Magic's Latin America operations
with significant management experience in radio, television,
and cable in both the United States and Mexico. Most recently
he led integration projects for clients including TV Azteca
in Monterrey, Mexico; Universidad Iberoamericana in Tijuana;
and Enlace in San Jose, Costa Rica. As director of operations
for Pacific Spanish Network, he was instrumental in the development
and operation of the regional television network Tu Superestacion,
which grew to achieve statewide distribution through strategic
partnerships with regional cable companies.
In the six months since TV Magic SRL was created, Behar and
his team have developed three substantial integration projects.
Among the first of the Latin America installations completed
by TV Magic SRL is a project at Universidad Autonoma de Baja
California (UABC), also situated in Tijuana. The TV Magic
team integrated and installed new equipment within master
control facilities at the UABC School of Humanities, optimizing
the operations for students' television and entertainment
productions.
