Telemetrics Inc., the industry leader
in camera robotics and control systems, has introduced the
new RCP-TS Touchscreen Remote Control Panel here at InfoComm
2008.
A unique camera control system with a Microsoft Windows
XP embedded operating system, the RCP-TS provides flexible
architecture for versatile camera automation functionality.
The RCP-TS Touchscreen Remote Control Panel gives camera robotic
operators control over camera movements and camera paint functions
from a single location. It seamlessly interfaces with the
new Canon BU-45H robotic pan-tilt HD camera, Panasonic AW-HE100
and also the Sony three-CCD HD robotic BRC-H700 camera.
"Telemetrics has an established reputation for driving
cutting edge innovations in camera control systems for various
applications," said Anthony Cuomo, Vice President and
General Manager, Telemetrics, Inc. "Our new touch screen
remote control panel makes it possible for a single operator
to control multiple PTZ cameras from the leading manufacturers
in the industry into one cost effective and versatile system."
Featuring camera, CCU and peripheral device control capabilities,
the Telemetrics RCP-TS features a user-intuitive Graphical
User Interface (GUI) for Remote Operator panel controls with
a joystick for camera pan, tilt, zoom, focus, iris and master
pedestal control. A special assignable knob is used to control
the GUI CCU functions which are accomplished using specially
designed control screens that emulate the manufacturer's setup
panel. A standard 16 presets per camera can be increased up
to 134 presets with the keypad option.
The Telemetrics RCP-TS can control up to 50 cameras and other
peripheral devices via flexible transmission methods, including
Serial Data (RS232/RS422), Ethernet (TCP/IP), and modem for
remote operation from any location with a broadband connection.
Using standard off-the-shelf network infrastructure, the RCP-TS
is interfaced with an Ethernet 10/100/1G connection and is
ideal for use in such applications as POV (point-of-view)
cameras for traffic and weather monitoring, houses of worship,
legislative chambers, high-resolution outdoor security installations,
remote-controlled Web cameras, and more.
