Sonic Foundry Unveils Mediasite 4.2

today unveiled Mediasite® 4.2, the latest release of the
company's award-winning and patented webcasting and content
management platform.
The Mediasite Management Portal's 4.2 makeover was inspired
by the growing number of faculty, executives and line of business
managers who are creating, managing and monitoring rich media
presentations on a daily basis. The redesign incorporates
usability best practices to give these users greater confidence
in webcasting their training, briefings and lectures.

The refined Mediasite 4.2 Management Portal features:
-- Simplified navigation throughout the
web-based Mediasite platform
-- System-wide keyword search across all Mediasite assets,
including presentations, presenters, Viewers, folders, schedules,
templates, streaming profiles and server groups
-- Streamlined access to presentation poll results
-- A common tasks sidebar of popular functions now accessible
from any location within the portal
Mediasite 4.2 also includes updates to the library of Mediasite
Viewers, including an additional widescreen Viewer for 16:9
video and a new 3-banner Viewer supporting customers' needs
for additional branding in the playback experience, enhanced
Firefox® playback and support for the Microsoft® Windows
Media® Video 9 Advanced Streaming Codec.
