Exhibitor News:
Box Technologies and MediaTile (#B09)
is launching the Return on Message (ROM) methodology,
which effectively measures and optimises the impact of digital
signage content. Based on best practices established by the
independent Digital Signage Association, it delivers a standards-based
system that will guide companies through the complex variables
which must be considered for successful digital signage deployment.
MediaTile plans to integrate these elements directly into
its Mediacast 4.0 SaaS-based content delivery and management
system to simplify and automate the process of delivering
highly relevant content for viewers.
BrandPlay Group (#E03) is launching
a unique interactive digital six sheet unit which features
a portrait mounted 46-inch, 57-inch or 65-inch screen enhanced
with next generation interactive capabilities. Available freestanding
or wall mounted, the unit allows proximity based motion detection,
touch and gesture-based interactivity and even accommodates
image capture literally putting the viewer in
the picture. The unit also supports RFID input and outputs
via SMS, email and Bluetooth downloads.
The company recently completed a fundraising
round with private investors in the UK and USA, and announced
further acquisitions in the DOOH sector. The funds raised
are to accelerate the roll-out of the groups interactive
floor network in premier shopping centres and to initiate
a buy and build strategy in the sector. In conjunction
with the fundraising, BrandPlay Group has acquired Insight
Media (UK) Limited (IMUK), a profitable owner
and operator of digital and traditional poster networks in
destination venues across the country. IMUK is rolling out
the UKs first glasses free 3D screen network
with X-Leisure (www.xscape3d.tv).
Conrac GmbH (#F01) is exhibiting
its portfolio of flat-screens available in sizes up to 82-inch.
Brand new products include Narrow Bezel Displays for videowalls
and a touch solution for indoor and outdoor use. By removing
multiple components and adding additional monitoring features,
Conrac claims a 1.3 euro per hour cost-saving against traditional
displays. Recently, True Colours Distribution signed a deal
with Conrac to supply large format displays with embedded
dZine digital signage technology. A range of solutions
and size formats are now available from True Colours, including
thin bezel displays for indoor use, IP-rated displays for
outdoor environments and interactive touch screens.
Handy AV (#B35) is launching its
SaaS solution company DigiScreen UK. Using DigiScreen Web
Server users can access, distribute and play content across
multiple locations, using LAN or 3G Broadband access. Users
can create templates, update content and monitor the status
of the network via their web browser. Also on show will be
the world's LARGEST LCD screen, the Sharp 108-inch, together
with the impressive Screen Lifter. In addition, there will
be various displays from Samsung and the interactive HandyTOUCH
range including the HandyTOUCH Table.
Magenta Research is introducing its
new European Sales & Marketing Manager, Rob Muddiman,
on the True Colours stand (#B01). Magenta Research, an established
leader in the transmission, switching and distribution of
audio/visual and serial signals, is one to watch in 2009 and
beyond. Last year the company celebrated its 10th Anniversary
as an UTP distribution pioneer, it has a history of major
technology achievements under it belt and it is now strengthening
its position in the European Pro-AV and digital signage markets
as part of a major international expansion strategy.
Minicom Digital Signage (#E02) is
presenting its award winning solutions in a joint display
with its exclusive distributor in the UK, RGB Communications.
Minicom is unveiling its brand new real-time extension system,
the VGA extender, capable of transmitting video up to 110m/360ft
from one source to one screen or one screen to two screens.
Unlike most video extenders, the VGA Extender is the only
one to come with a unique dual screen receiver allowing transmission
to two back-to-back screens simultaneously thereby doubling
system value. Users can place one screen facing towards the
street grabbing the attention of passerbys 24/7 and
one facing inside for customers. Thanks to its small size,
plug-and-play design and low density, low cost CAT5/5e/6/7
cabling the VGA Extender is easy to install. It also conveniently
receives power from the player PCs USB port and the
receiver unit is so tiny it fits easily on the back of any
display device.
Panasonics 103-inch Plasma
display with integrated PC makes its debut on the signagelive
stand (#D01). The solution is currently the largest size available
under the Instant Digital Signage proposition developed in
conjunction with Midwich providing resellers and end users
with a powerful yet simple and cost effective digital signage
solution. The 103-inch will be the first screen people will
see as they enter the main hall. Representatives from Panasonic
will be present on the stand along with the signagelive team.
Pro Display (#G19) is exhibiting
a new range of innovative display solutions for the AV industry,
including Self-adhesive Rear Projection Films, Sunscreen and
Interactive Projection Foils. The new self-adhesive rear projection
films are available in three versions - high gain, high contrast
and transparent/holo film. Each type of film is offered as
a cut screen size or in wholesale roll format. Sunscreen is
a very unique screen technology which has the ability to deflect
external light whilst maintaining colour/contrast within the
projected image. It is the only rear projection screen in
the world which is guaranteed to work in applications with
direct sunlight. Screen sizes range from 30 77
diagonal. Pro Displays interactive rear projection touch
screen foils have been predominantly designed for interactive
store window displays. These projected capacitance foils are
available in standard screen sizes from 30 80
diagonal (4:3 and 16:9) and come as a self adhesive easy to
install kit. A complete range of projection surfaces are available
(including Sunscreen) making them suitable for any number
of Digital Signage applications.
S.Y. Electronics (#B05) is showing
its new AVP extender range design to suit the many requirements
of digital signage installations. This range is an enhanced
version of the CatX extender range, designed to offer the
choice between the transmission of Audio and Video or Video
and Power. Using CatX products the VGA source can now span
up to 4000 metres over UTP cable. The range includes three
broadcast transmitters with 2, 4 or 8 outputs and two types
of dual VGA output receiver units with a cascade feature.
This allows the source signal to be transmitted up to 2000
metres (over 6000 feet). A shorter range receiver offers the
same function up to 1000 metres (over 3000 feet). Resolutions
up to 2048 x 1536 can be displayed using CatX extender products.
Tunit Media (#B19) is demonstrating
M Box, the new non-digital motion media display. M Box delivers
stunning moving displays with depth and 3d perception. This
new display solution has an immediate attention factor that
stands out amongst the crowd and gives that new edge to any
adverting campaign. Available in sizes from counter top to
bill board, with a range of buy or hire packages, M Box is
the newest and most impressive non digital media display.
