NextWindow, the international leader in
the design and manufacture of optical touch technology, is
pleased to announce the introduction of its new 2150 Optical
Touch Screen for large format LCDs and Plasma displays, featuring
unsurpassed touch performance and improved
multi-touch capabilities. The 2150 Optical Touch Screen will
debut at the upcoming SID Display Week 2008, in NextWindow¹s
Booth #1036, May 18 23rd at the Los Angeles Convention
Center in Los Angeles, California.
"Our new 2150 Optical Touch Screen is a drop-in replacement
to our previous 2100 model, and provides the same great benefits
such as full mouse emulation with no proprietary drivers,"said
NextWindow¹s VP of Sales,
Anthony Uhrick. "Plus, the screen now features other
improvements including easier integration, multi-touch and
gesture recognition, fewer components for higher reliability,
and because it is USB-powered, there is no need for external
power."
The Optical Touch Screen utilizes clear tempered glass for
maximum image clarity, and accurate touch sensitivity. The
screens are activated by a light touch with any touch method
(finger, gloved hand, or pointer), and require only a one-time,
four-point calibration. Now even easier to
integrate, the sensor does not require any special gaskets,
or grounding considerations, and there are no compression
issues. The 2150, which is designed for display integrators
and manufacturers developing custom display enclosures, is
perfect for interactive kiosks, digital signage, education,
training and collaboration.
