Tandberg talking to potential buyer
 

Oslo, Norway, videoconferencing company Tandberg, not to be confused with the Tandberg TV group now owned by Ericsson, is in preliminary acquisition talks with a private equity firm.

Tandberg has recently overtaken Polycom of the US to become the market leader with a 39 per cent share and it strengthened its position last year through the acquisition of Codian of the UK, a video conferencing infrastructure vendor.


MultiDyne Mourns Passing of Founder Vincent Jachetta
 

Vincent Jachetta, founder of MultiDyne Video & Fiber Optic Systems, passed away on September 2, 2008.

Waterproof panel PCs platform from Trident offer wide application options
 

The FOX-120 and FOX-150 multi-purpose computers from AAEON feature Intel Celeron M processors and touch-screen SVGA displays, housed in a waterproof casing that is rated to IP65 on all sides.

Both models operated over an extended -20 to +60 degrees C temperature range and are resistant to shock and vibration.

Vertical applications are facilitated by the choice of VESA 100mm or in-vehicle mounting.


JVC Unveils 10 Megapixel HD Projector
 

JVC has unveiled a 4K2K ultra high definition projector, the DLA-SH4K.

Based on the company's new proprietary 1.27-inch 10 megapixel D-ILA devices, the DLA-SH4K projects images at greater than 4 times the resolution and clarity of the industry's latest full high definition projectors.


Barco launches new pixelation luminaire
 

StudioPix is a hybrid wide-angle moving LED wash light with programmable graphic imaging, the second product in High End Systems' new line of Pixelation Luminaires.

Barco recently acquired High End Systems.


New CEO At Element Labs
 

Element Labs, provider of LED video technology to the entertainment, architectural and signage industries, announced the appointment of Barbara Nelson as CEO.

Nelson will take over from CEO and Co-founder, Nils Thorjussen.
