Minicom unveils a comprehensive player
to screen solution for the Digital Signage industry by adding
a Power management system that increases Lifespan/Slash power
Costs of LCD, Plasma and Projectors.
Jerusalem, Israel - Minicom Advanced Systems, the world leader
in Digital Signage player-to-screen connectivity, is showcasing
a new power management and remote support system that completes
the player to screen comprehensive solution at this years
InfoComm in Las Vegas, Nevada June 17-20, 2008.
Power management
Due to the increase of energy prices and concern for the environment
Minicom has created a solution called PowerOnCable that
increases Lifespan/Slash power Costs of LCD, Plasma and Projectors.
Simply Connect PowerOnCable to Minicom's DS Vision®
3000 system and power on/off LCD, Plasma and projector display
devices that do not have their own serial ports for communication
with DS Vision® 3000. PowerOnCable will radically
improve display device lifespan and power consumption costs.
Remote support
What are you going to do when your mission critical media
player malfunctions in the middle of a public environment?
You can't simply take out a ladder and bring in a repairman
for an hour or two to fix it in front of your viewers. Minicom's
solution enables you to troubleshot your Digital Signage player
anytime from anywhere in the world. Simply connect PowerOnCable
to Minicom's IP gateways (IP Control or PX) for full
power control of mission critical Digital Signage (on/off,
reboot or unfreeze). The IP Control or PX are state-of-the-art
IP devices for remote, out-of-band KVM (Keyboard video and
mouse) access to Digital Signage Digital Signage players.
They provide remote command in real time and enables troubleshooting
even when the operating system is down.
