Job Description

This position peforms OR1 Systems installations at customer sites while managing the installation crew. Essential Job Functions
• Overtime required – including weekends and nights
• Travel required – to job sites throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico
• Regular attendance for scheduled shifts
• Perform all duties in a professional and safe manner
• The knowledge and ability to use both hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner
• Perform basic installation tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner. Such tasks include but are not limited to: o Pulling and securing of System copper and fiber cable in plenum spaces, cable trays, and conduit o Install connectors, via crimp and solder methods o Projector mounting and hanging o Large LCD mounting and hanging
• Positive and effective interaction with internal and external Customers
• Read and interpret Electronic and Hard Copy Schematics and Architectural Blue Prints to apply information to complete installations
• Receive equipment at Customer sites with associated responsibilities
• Assemble and wire System Racks to design specifications
• Ability to manage an install crew size of 1 to 5 Technicians
• Formulate and distribute install plan for install crew(s)
• Customer liaison in absence of Project Manager
• Field installation of control programs and the ability to perform code corrections with phone support
• Proficiency with test and calibration equipment in diagnosing systems
• Ability to test complex integrated systems and diagnose problems within them
• Ability to perform Customer Training to support Project Manger as needed
• Mentor and encourage subordinates in the advancement of their own technical skills
• Responsible for job documentation to include recording of final wiring, labeling, and final configuration settings on all TQM and Site Specific Documents and Forms and where applicable to return them to Engineering for correction to allow Customer final drawing set completion
• Coordinate with engineer to review project Scope of Work, including specific site conditions and install issues
• Conduct preliminary testing of each system in accordance with the Install Quality Checklist and the Install SOP
• Other duties as requested or required Non-essential Job Functions
• Able to be timely and efficient in executing weekly paperwork responsibilities
• Able to prioritize responsibilities for most efficient use of time
• Demonstrate job site leadership
• PC proficient
• Formal documented training completion in each control system utilized in OR1
• PC proficient in all applications used by OR1 for Project Completion • Ability to follow instructions and meet assigned task deadlines
• Attention to detail
• Effective interaction with employees, Customers, and colleagues
• Problem solving and trouble shooting skills
• Must posses a valid Drivers License and be a safe driver • Have a current U.S. Passport
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs • Climb and work on ladders up to heights of 35 feet
