InFocus Corporation
today announced that it will showcase the company's newest
enhancements to the digital projection experience at InfoComm
2008, to be held June 18-20 in Las Vegas, Nev.

At the show, InFocus will demonstrate three new platforms
for mobile, meeting and installation needs. With these new
platforms, InFocus is introducing features to deliver greater
benefits in productivity and efficiency to end users, as well
as to provide solutions that meet the needs of its Pro AV
dealers.
Specifically, InfoComm will mark the first public demonstration
of InFocus' simplified connectivity for laptops. DisplayLink
technology makes connecting an InFocus projector to a laptop
as easy as plugging in a USB mouseeliminating the hassle
of fumbling with function keys and VGA connectors. DisplayLink
for projectors is an industry first and is available only
for the new InFocus 1100 and 3100 series projectors.
"Setting up a projector for a meeting can take as much
as 15 minutes of valuable meeting time," noted David
Woolf, InFocus' Vice President of Global Marketing. "The
DisplayLink feature on our new 1100 and 3100 series projectors
requires only the time to plug in a USB cable, providing an
instant productivity benefit to teams and their companies."
The new InFocus platforms also offer the ability to connect
wirelessly. LiteShow II offers enterprises and educators the
flexibility to connect computers and projectors from any manufacturer,
in a wireless peer to peer setup, or by using an existing
wireless LAN. With support for WPA and WPA2, LiteShow II can
extend the existing wireless network to enterprise projectors,
without compromising security.
Whether connected via LiteShow or DisplayLink, another new
consideration for customers is aspect ratio. The traditional
4:3 screen is rapidly giving way to the widescreen 16:10 format.
With more than 84% of laptop shipments being widescreen, InFocus
now offers a widescreen option, along with HD support, for
each of its new projector platforms being shown at InfoComm.
"Customers want projectors to not only be easy to use,
but also simple and inexpensive to maintain. InFocus' projectors
with DLP® BrilliantColor provide life-like color
reproduction that maintains its quality over time without
the need for replacement filters. In fact, the projectors
can be operated in 24x7 mode," Woolf added.
At InfoComm, attendees will find these enhanced features demonstrated
on three new platforms from InFocus:
IN1100 Series
With the same small form factor as InFocus' best-selling LP70
and IN10, and new DisplayLink connectivity over USB, the IN1100
series is easy to set up and to share among team members and
on the road. The IN1100 series boasts crisp, true-to-life
colors with DLP BrilliantColor technology, up to 2200 max
ANSI lumens, and XGA or WXGA formats, yet weighs just 2.75
lbs.
IN3100 Series
The IN3100 series of meeting room projectors includes DLP®
BrilliantColor multimedia projectors up to 3500 lumens,
a choice of XGA or WXGA resolution, and a 2000:1 contrast
ratio. The IN3100 series features the new InFocus LiteTouch
keypad, replacing standard button controls with a backlit
touch-sensitive keypadultimately providing a sleek,
smooth look for professional installations. Along with standard
connectors, the IN3100 series supports DisplayLink, LiteShow
and HDMI.

IN5100 Series
The IN5100 series is designed with InFocus' new SplitScreen
technology, with the ability to display two different images
side by side for easy collaboration. With options for widescreen
WXGA resolution and up to 5000 lumens, the IN5100 series combines
powerful projection with flexible features and connectivity.

The IN5100 series boasts horizontal and vertical lens shift,
as well as four lens options to fit all types of installations.

and 5 BNC inputs, four assignable audio inputs and RS232 and
embedded network control for easy integration into any infrastructure.
These new platforms will be showcased at InFocus' booth #
