Asia-Pacific AV Market Definition and Strategy Study Finds
10% Annual Growth
A new report finds that the professional
audiovisual market in the Asia-Pacific region is expected
to grow to nearly $18 billion by 2010. The 2008 InfoComm Asia-Pacific
AV Market Definition and Strategy Study (MDSS) was conducted
by Fusion Consulting on behalf of InfoComm International,
the leading trade association representing the professional
audiovisual industry.
The 2008 InfoComm Asia-Pacific AV MDSS provides a comprehensive
overview of the market's size, structure, characteristics
and key players. The report also highlights key differences
between countries in the region the result of in-depth
interviews with industry experts and key vendors and distributors,
as well as an online survey with more than 300 industry players.
The Asia-Pacific MDSS finds that the professional AV market
reached $13.4 billion in 2007. Products comprise 80 percent
of the total market, while professional AV services account
for the remaining 20 percent. The pro-AV market in the Asia-Pacific
region is expected to grow 10 percent annually through 2010.
Accounting for the greatest growth are the healthcare and
education sectors, which are anticipated to grow 19 percent
and 17 percent respectively, between 2005 and 2010.
