Harris Corporation,
an international communications and information technology
company, will showcase its expanded portfolio of Harris Digital
Signage solutions and Zandar multiviewers at InfoComm
08. Being held June 18-20, 2008, at the Las Vegas Convention
Center, InfoComm is the industry's premier event for the business-to-business
and audio/visual marketplace.
Harris will demonstrate its expanded line of InfoCaster
content creation and playout systems the key component
in the Harris Digital Signage offering. Harris Digital Signage
solutions are scalable to support small, multi-screen implementations
at a single venue through large enterprise-level installations
that encompass large numbers of venues, zones and screens.
Harris solutions support the content delivery chain for digital
signage, including creation, production, management, scheduling,
distribution, and reporting. AV providers, systems integrators
and their end users can take advantage of these capabilities
by selecting from a set of discrete products, a managed services
offering, or a combination of the two, as their needs dictate.
The Harris InfoComm 08 exhibit also will include the latest
in Zandar multiviewers for creative professional AV displays,
including the newest addition to Harris Corporation's flexible
line of multiviewer solutions, the Zandar Predator II.
Also exhibited will be the Zandar FusionPro+ series
multiviewers, which offer numerous interface options that
allow for a combination of live and recorded video, graphics
and data in a stylish display. FusionPro+ multiviewers are
used in many diverse applications such as digital signage,
events and staging, as well as corporate, worship, medical
and retail applications. Advanced control options for Zandar
multiviewers include the Z-Configurator user interface.
Also on display at InfoComm 08 will be a selection of test
and measurement solutions, including Videotek® VTM Series
multiformat on-screen monitors, the TVM-950 multiformat signal
analyzer and a range of handheld test instruments.
"Harris is sensitive to the needs of the AV industry
and to those of the resellers and systems integrators who
drive this market," said Tim Thorsteinson, president
of Harris Broadcast Communications. "Our increased presence
at this year's InfoComm exhibition and the broader array of
products we're featuring represent our continuing commitment.
We believe our line of multiviewers is second to none in our
industry, providing a selection that no other supplier can
touch, and our digital signage offering provides unique opportunities
for incremental revenues."
During InfoComm 08, Harris also will be participating in the
Digital Signage Technology Summit hosted by the Strategy Institute.
Ted Dembicki, vice president of business development for Harris
Digital Signage solutions, will take part in the Monday, June
16 panel, entitled, "Software Options: A Framework for
Selection to Ensure Interoperability, Fit and Success."
Mr. Dembicki will discuss ways to determine needs and resources
for the best solution fit, exploring security, scalability,
digital rights management, bandwidth control and reporting
mechanisms.
