Developing and deploying cost-effective
display systems for multi-user audio-visual (AV) environments
will be a big part of the Thomson (Euronext Paris: 18453;
NYSE: TMS) exhibit at the upcoming InfoComm 2008 convention
in Las Vegas, June 18-20, 2008.
For its worldwide launch, a fully operational
Thomson Grass Valley MEDIAEDGE® 3 DS video delivery
system will be demonstrated, along with a comprehensive workflow
using other Thomson Grass Valley products for all types of
AV productions.
The move to digital file-sharing systems
across the corporate, educational, institutional, and retail
landscapes has led to innovative new system designs for how
content is delivered, received and consumed. MEDIAEDGE 3 DS
addresses this ubiquitous need to distribute and share audio
and video content across TCP/IP-based local area networks
(LANs) which has exploded in the past few years, as various
types of video retrieval and display applications are deployed
to support and expand business models and achieve internal
goals.
Attendees to the Thomson booth (#N6312) at InfoComm 2008 will
also see a completely integrated and highly cost-effective
production workflow for AV producers and content creators
that includes the Thomson Grass Valley Indigo AV Mixer,
Turbo iDDR (Intelligent Digital Disk Recorder), EDIUS®
HD editing software and the ADVC-HD50 signal converter. Also
on hand will be a Thomson Grass Valley Infinity Digital
Media Camcorder and an Ignite HDC robotic camera and
control system.
