Pin-sharp images down to the smallest detail - The eyevis
EYE-LCD5600QHD

Especially
for professional applications which have to rely on every
pixel, eyevis developed its EYE-LCD5600QHD.
This LCD monitor
provides 3,840 x 2,160 pixels (quad HD resolution) on a 56
(143 cm) screen. As one of very few manufacturers, eyevis
is not only able to provide LCD monitors fulfilling all expectations
towards modern display technology, but also all necessary
components and accessories to use the display in a meaningful
way. Being a leading manufacturer in the fields of professional
large screen systems, we can offer complete systems which
create an environment in which the Quad HD monitor can show
its full performance.
These systems may include either high-end graphic boards for
image processing, or even graphics controllers which not only
provide perfect image processing, but also input possibilities
for any kind of data or video sources.
Main areas of application for these systems
are where images need to be displayed in large format and
still have to be sharp when viewed from a shorter distance.
The resolution of the display per inch can be compared with
that of a standard desktop monitor. Main advantage of the
EYE-LCD5600QHD is its huge screen diagonal and thus the resulting
display possibilities.
For example, it is possible to show various sources in native
resolution. These sources can be placed freely on the screen
without disturbing gaps between them, as with systems using
several conventional monitors. The displayed sources also
do not suffer from a loss in quality, which happens when the
display in use provides a lower resolution than the source.
The eyevis Quad HD monitor guarantees outstanding image properties
over the entire active screen area. Thanks to its ultra-short
response time it can also be used with fast moving images.
The EYE-LCD5600QHD has proven its strengths
in many installations in all sorts of branches already. Most
installations were realised in the energy sector where the
display is used as personal wall for the operators controlling
power networks. Such applications require the highest possible
resolution to show the complete network in detail. But also
power generation itself is often surveyed on an eyevis Quad
HD monitor. Since modern process management systems produce
their images in HD resolution, up to four HD sources can be
displayed in native resolution on a single display.
A further field of application is in clinical
environments, where the monitors are used as display solution
for the results of radiological examinations. The display
has already proven its reliability in this sensible sector
during clinical studies in Germany.
More applications can be found in branches
for planning and design. When planning towns or buildings
- but also in technical development - the designers have to
rely on extensive digital map material, sketches and drawings
displayed in highest quality. Here, the unique resolution
of the EYE-LCD5600QHD leads to the display of detailed maps
in unparalleled quality. The wide viewing angle allows several
designers to work with the displayed content simultaneously.
In addition to that, the combination of the high resolution
and the brilliant image properties allow the realistic display
of design studies, for example in the automobile branch, in
architectural branches or in industrial construction.
Todays security market provides observation
cameras producing pictures in ever better resolutions. Besides
these camera streams, modern surveillance centres, especially
in aeronautic or military environments, have to handle satellite
pictures and digital maps in high quality. That the EYE-LCD5600QHD
is perfect for such installations can be seen in the traffic
centre of the City of Zurich in Switzerland.
Especially for the Football European Championships, there
was a new control room installed to manage the increasing
traffic during the tournament. At the core of this control
room, two eyevis Quad HD monitors guarantee the reliable and
pin-sharp display of all relevant information about the roads
and parking situation in and around Zurich. The displays are
used to show camera signals, traffic management systems and
digital maps simultaneously. This comprehensive information
allows the operators to react immediately on up-coming bottlenecks
in Zurich.
High resolution and short response times
are also a sine qua non for display solutions
in simulations. Especially for driving simulations, the recognisability
of road signs in realistic distances is an important key feature.
With conventional visualisation solutions, road signs can
often only be seen and distinguished when it is almost too
late to react. Tanks to the high spatial resolution of the
EYE-LCD5600QHD it is possible to create visual systems showing
recognisable road signs in realistic distances.
For flight simulations or tower simulations it is also important
to show planes and tiny details in any distance. Also for
the simulation of display systems in cockpits or for construction
simulations, the eyevis QHD opens up totally new possibilities
regarding sharpness and reality of the simulation. The EYE-LCD5600QHD
can also be used as preview monitor for large scale projections
or CAVE applications, since it is possible to display
all high-resolution images on a single screen.
The flexibility of our systems can also
be seen on the diversity of branches on this extract of realised
installations. At all these installations, our customers benefit
from perfectly adjusted systems with high-end components chosen
for their high performance and reliability.
