The Epson PowerLite 400W is Ideal for
Interactive Whiteboards (IWBs) and Widescreen Images in the
Classroom
Epson has expanded the universe of 3LCD presentation technology
in schools and businesses with the new Epson PowerLite 400W
projector.

This new multimedia projector is the first three-chip (3LCD)
short-throw product to offer true WXGA native resolution (1280x800)
for "future-proof" use with widescreen computers
and 16:10 interactive whiteboards. The PowerLite 400W projector
is ideal for wall-mounting and use with an intelligent whiteboard.
Its high-offset, short-throw design allows ample space for
students and audience members, while drastically reducing
shadows from presenters.
Furthermore, the projector features a unique widescreen 16:10
aspect ratio with WXGA native resolution, resulting in a 30
percent increase in display area compared to 4:3 aspect ratio,
and a 10 percent increase over 16:9. This makes the projector
an ideal solution for displaying high definition content and
utilizing the full capabilities of latest-generation widescreen
computers and new, wider interactive whiteboards.
The PowerLite 400W projector achieves a measured brightness
of 1,800 (ISO 2118 standard) lumens for brilliant and vibrant
image quality, ideal for use with both interactive whiteboards
and screens without excessive glare. It also helps achieve
ADA 508 compliance and offers communication flexibility and
low cost of ownership with built-in closed captioning that
does not require additional hardware.
In addition, the PowerLite 400W projector includes an integrated
10-watt speaker to fill most classrooms with clear, powerful
sound. A wall mount option enables quick, efficient and low
cost installation. These features, along with many other unique
advantages, make the PowerLite 400W projector an easy and
affordable solution for just $1,399 MSRP.
