Elite Screens, Inc. an innovative company
that specializes in affordable, high quality projector screens,
today announced its StarBright Whiteboard Screen, an innovative
solution that merges its StarBright premium grade ultra-high
gain reflective material with a dry erase whiteboard for classroom
and boardroom presentations in environments with bright ambient
light.
"We combine our Starbright4 state of the art material
that uses specialized layers to maximize light reflectivity
with a dry-erase surface, and the results are incredible,"
said David Rodgers, marketing manager, Elite Screens, Inc.
"Starbright4 means that it has a 4-gain reflectivity
that works well in ambient light. The image rivals a flat
panel display in terms of brightness and clarity, and the
presenter can even write over it while lecturing."
Elite's StarBright Whiteboard users save space and money because
it combines both a projection screen and a classroom writing
board into one screen, eliminating the need for two separate
products. Just like any educational whiteboard, StarBright4
material has a dust resistant dry erase surface. For a wide
range of application choices, Elite's StarBright Whiteboard
Screen comes in a standard class writing board format as well
as 4:3 and 16:9 projection screen aspect ratios with sizes
ranging from 60 to 106 inches.
Elite's StarBright4 projection material has a brightness level
four times greater than a standard matte white projection
surface. It uses a multi-layered design that concentrates
reflected light to create a bright image. The screen's layers
diffuse a projector's intensity to control hot-spotting which
is a difficult task in all high gain materials, and it eliminates
a wash-out effect by filtering out ambient light to provide
a clear picture. These layers rest on a primed sheet of galvanized
steel for total flatness and magnetic attraction, which is
useful when writing on the screen and using magnetic reference
points during a lecture.
"Now teachers and audience members don't have to turn
the lights off to see the projection screen, and they can
make a presentation more powerful by writing or highlighting
directly on it," added Rodgers. "Plus, it's a lot
easier to take notes when you're not sitting in the dark during
the presentation or lecture."
Pricing, Availability, Warranty
Pricing for Elite's StartBright Whiteboard Screen starts at
$399 and will be available in December 2008 through retail,
Internet, professional AV and systems integrator channels.
It comes with Elite's two-year manufacturer's limited warranty,
which is twice the industry standard.
