BlueWater Technologies (BWT) of Southfield,
Mich. recently selected Technique à Vue (TAV), Daktronics'
rental partner, to provide two 12.5 square meter, PT-4 modular
LED video displays for Chrysler LLC's Dodge and Chrysler booths
and preshow press conferences at the Javits Convention Center
during the 2008 New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) in
New York, N.Y.
The Daktronics displays showed1080i HD footage and were used
for the duration of the NYIAS to highlight new vehicles for
2009. "The PT-4 displays used in New York did a great
job for our client," said Bob Daniels, Director of Operations
for BWT. "They went together fast and performed flawlessly
for the duration of the show. The support we received from
the Daktronics engineers on site and the entire team at Daktronics
was first class."
Throughout the unveiling of the 2009 Dodge Challenger the
display was presenting the audience with close-up footage
of skits depicting how the new Challenger redefines modern
American muscle, company logos, virtual scenery and live video.
Daktronics V-Tour® controller and V-Link® 4500 video
processor managed the displays. The V-Link® video processor
accepts standard and high-definition production feeds for
display on any Daktronics LED video display. Designed specifically
for LED technology, the V-Link® processing system supports
displays of any size or shape, seamlessly switches processor
inputs and breaks the displays into multiple video zones.
The PT-4 proves to be a superior LED product for premier events,
as it features advanced image processing for exceptional picture
quality, a high-efficiency LED layout for superior contrast
and a fanless design for silent operation.
The Daktronics PT-4 is the first innovative video system truly
engineered to delight clients, entertain spectators and reach
break-even faster than ever before. In addition to the PT-4,
the Daktronics ProTour® line also includes the PT-8, PT-10
and PT-13 modular LED video display systems.
