Delivers Widest Range of 3-Chip DLP
Active Stereo Solutions on the Market
Christie, a leader in simulation projection display and visualization
solutions, announced the launch of the new Christie Mirage
WU Series at Japans Industry Virtual Reality Expo (IVR);
the worlds largest trade show focusing on the entire
virtual reality industry.
The new Christie Mirage WU Series is an expansion to Christies
industry-leading Mirage Series of proven 3-Chip DLP,
3-D Active Stereo projectors. The four new projectors, the
Christie Mirage WU3, Christie Mirage WU7, Christie Mirage
WU12 and Christie Mirage WU18 offer more pixels, with WUXGA
1920 x 1200 native resolution and brightness options of 3,000,
6,600, 12,000 and 18,000 ANSI lumens.

The new Christie Mirage WU Series is the only purpose-built,
cost-effective 3-D stereoscopic projector with a 16:10 aspect
ratio, resulting in greater display flexibility. The projectors
feature built-in edge-blending and Christie Light Output Control
(LITELOC) for constant brightness tracking and monitoring
of lamp output. They also feature Comprehensive Color Adjustment
(CCA), allowing the adjustment of actual RGB channels in individual
projectors for even color matching across multi-screen applications.
The optional Christie Twist module for internal image
warping allows projection on virtually any screen or surface.
The exceptionally low-maintenance Christie Mirage WU Series
is compatible with the widest range of stereo and non-stereo
sources, providing the perfect solution across a broad range
of industries, including design and manufacturing, education,
energy, government and entertainment. It joins Christies
powerful line-up of high-resolution projectors for simulation
and visualization, which range from cost-efficient single
systems to high-end solutions for complex applications and
arrays. The Christie Mirage WU Series is the perfect solution
for stable, highly reliable, arrayed projector solutions.
Due to their unique image processing technology, the Christie
Mirage WU Series uses far less computing power and works with
virtually any computers graphic processor unit (GPU),
delivering up to 120Hz output from up to 60Hz input over standard,
single link DVI-D or analog.

The projectors are complemented by the new Christie Spyder
X20 video processor, which is ideal for visual environment
applications. The Spyder X20 is capable of up to 20 MPX bandwidth
high-resolution, regardless of image type and meets the most
challenging multi-windowing, multiple displays and processing
requirements. It allows for the rotation of images from any
output source to project in landscape or portrait orientation.
Combined with the Christie Mirages WU Series increased
resolution, the results are superior functionality and flexibility
in large-scale visualization applications. In addition, the
Spyder X20s stereoscopic SSO option can provide seamless
displays and flexibility in a mixed 2D 3D image environment.

Series at IVR, booth # 23-18.
