Christie announces the availability of the new Christie TVC-1210 display wall controller and Christie RPMSP-D275U rear-projection engine for control room display systems. Continuing to grow and expand on its latest series of powerful and versatile TotalVIEW control room solutions, Christies newest products boast unmatched processing power and brightness performance in the industry. The additions build on the demanding needs of 24/7 control room environments with the highest performance, reliability and low total cost of ownership.
Christies popular RPMSP series of rear projection displays now includes a higher power model for use in larger rear-screen applications. The new Christie RPMSP-D275U features a dual 275 watt lamp system that provides a significant increase in brightness performance over its nearest competitors. Designed for use in larger stackable cubes and enclosures for 24/7 control room videowall applications, the Christie RPMSP-D275U features a powerful 2,550 ANSI lumens of brightness and matchless contrast ratio at 2,500:1. It builds on the successful Christie RPMSP-D120U platform and features Christies KoRE electronics and ChristieNET remote control and monitoring over IP.
This higher brightness model breaks price/performance barriers, offering the power required to fill larger display screens and a more cost effective option over multiple projection solutions, said Jim Gavloski, director of product management, Control Room and Videowall Solutions, Christie. In addition to our standard low distortion 0.85:1 tiling lens, were excited to offer a new lens option that is exclusive to Christie. Christies 1.2:1 lens delivers ultra-low geometric distortion and a longer throw distance for larger tiled video wall applications a perfect compliment to this new model and our popular Christie RPMSP-D120U.
At the heart of the control room set-up is Christies latest digital display wall controller, the Christie TVC-1210. The new controller is the next evolution of the popular Christie TVC-1200 and features the latest Intel® Xeon single quad-core processing technology far exceeding the competition with the fastest processing power in the industry. The server-based system features high performance multi-video capability (with up to 16 real-time videos per display) and the flexibility to accept multiple external video, RGB and client desktops for display anywhere and any size. A new switch fabric option provides vastly increased PCI bandwidth, allowing more RGB input sources to be simultaneously displayed across the display wall at very high refresh performance.
Gavloski continued: Christie engineers have integrated the latest technologies to provide superior, purpose-built control room products that our customers can rely on. Our control room display systems can be integrated into Christie video wall configurations or other systems to provide excellent price/performance benefits.
Visit Christies stand # F82 at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2008 for a demonstration of the new Christie TVC-1210 and Christie RPMSP-D275U. ISE takes place at the Amsterdam RAI conference center in the Netherlands, from the 29th 31st of January.
