Software

Canon U.S.A., Inc. introduces new Canon
Projector Monitoring Software for the monitoring of select
REALiS and LV-Series Multimedia Projectors.
This free, downloadable software enables users to monitor
and manage select Canon projectors through the Ethernet terminal
(designated as the RJ-45 network port), displaying
the operating conditions and maintenance information of up
to 254 projectors connected to a LAN (Local Area Network).
For example, the software allows connected projectors to transmit
an email alert to a central PC if an error occurs or a projection
lamp fails.
Benefits of Canon Projector Monitoring Software
The ability to monitor projectors from a central location
facilitates installation and simplifies management of large-scale
networked projector systems. This new software simplifies
the use of compatible Canon projectors from ceiling mounts
or other hard-to-reach locations, and also allows fewer personnel
to cover a larger service area.
Compatible Projectors for Canon Projector Monitoring Software
Canon projectors that are compatible with this software include
the REALiS WUX10 Mark II, REALiS WUX10 Mark II D, REALiS SX80
Mark II, REALiS SX80 Mark II D, and the LV-Series models LV-8300,
LV-7375, LV-7370, and LV-7275.
The new Canon Projector Monitoring Software is available for
free and can be downloaded from the Canon U.S.A., Inc. website
(www.usa.canon.com/projectors)
under the Drivers & Downloads tabs found on the product
pages for all compatible projectors.
Also available for download is a Users Manual and Frequently
Asked Questions.
