Barco, a world leader in advanced digital
projection, is pleased to announce the latest addition to
its portfolio of projectors: the NW-12. It features a native
WUXGA resolution (1920x1200), offers users a greater pixel
canvas, allows them to display more sources than ever in full
resolution and is fully compatible with modern high-end laptops.
Barco's NW-12 brings WUXGA to the three-chip DLP platform
for the first time a milestone in projection technology.
This readies Barco for the next stage in professional visualization
for venues that need more resolution. Applications for WUXGA
resolution not only include full display of high-end computer
laptops, but also text messaging that can be combined with
native 1080p HD video. Tickers and continuous information
feeds in lobbies and meeting rooms, or subtitles in worship
services will now be clearly visible without interfering with
the image's native resolution.
The NW-12's ultra-bright 12,000 lumens output renders it optimally
suited for the bright ambient light conditions of auditoriums,
large meeting rooms or conference halls. It also comes equipped
with edge blending capabilities, so that they can be installed
in any desired configuration. Barco's NW-12 is designed with
a sealed optical engine, which prevents dust from contaminating
the projector's image quality.
In addition, it features liquid cooling to prevent the system
from overheating and reduce noise levels to some of the lowest
in its class.
To complement the three-chip DLP NW-12 projector, Barco also
releases the smaller single-chip DLP NW-5 projector. Although
it possesses the same sealed optical engine and multi-channel
capabilities, it offers a light output of 5,000 lumens. This
makes it the projector of choice for small- to medium-sized
meeting rooms and boardrooms.
Both Barco's NW-5 and NW-12 are compatible with Barco's XDS
Control Center software suite. This allows users to take control
of all sources connected to the projector in a familiar Windows
desktop interface, with mouse and keyboard. The XDS Control
Center software makes user-friendly collaboration possible
by offering quick access to remote computer desktops, and
including a videoconferencing module that features easy audio
and camera control.
