The VCC-8000U (Universal Series) is a unique multi-image display processing solution capable of processing up to 4 HD-SDI, SD-SDI, analog composite, and 4 DVI/VGA/YPbPr inputs all at the same time in a single 1RU module.  It gives you the flexibility to mix and match these formats in any combination, depending on the application at hand. 

The VCC-8000U Series comes in two models:

1. VCC-8004U
2. VCC-8008U

VCC-8004U:
• Offers a total of 4 inputs:
• 2 auto-detect VGA / DVI (YPbPr) 480P 60 Hz,
720P 50/60 Hz, 1080i 50/60 Hz, 576P 50 Hz
PLUS
• 2 auto-detect HD / SD-SDI / composite video
(PAL / NTSC)

VCC-8008U:
• Offers a total of 8 inputs:
• 4 auto-detect VGA / DVI (YPbPr) 480P 60 Hz,
720P 50/60 Hz, 1080i 50/60 Hz, 576P 50 Hz
PLUS
• 4 auto-detect HD / SD-SDI / composite video
(PAL / NTSC)

Each VCC-8000U module can easily be cascaded with any other VCC-8000 modules to display up to 120 images on a single display.  This expansion is made possible by Avitech’s open and distributed architecture where each module operates independently to ensure “no single point of failure.”

Plus, the VCC-8000 series can be combined with Avitech’s other products including the MCC-8004 series, and the ACC-8000 series, offering you an expansive facility-wide visual monitoring environment   This gives you the ability to monitor inputs ranging from HD-SDI to component video or DVI / VGA as well as embedded, analog and AES / EBU audio through audio meters.

As with most of Avitech’s vast product range, the VCC-8000U offers an integrated on-screen display including labels, borders, alarm reporting, and a built-in digital clock. 

The VCC-8000U can be used in a variety of applications and the two examples below illustrate just how flexible the VCC-8000U multiviewer really is:

Editing Suite Applications:
The VCC-8000U series of multiviewers offers editing suite users a variety of time and space saving features.  It not only offers the editor the ability to view both DVI (Computer inputs) and Video (HD / SD-SDI) on a single display, but eliminates the typical requirement to color-match two or more monitors.

The VCC-8000U multiviewer also offers industry leading scaling functionality, which improves usability with DVI inputs as display resolutions get higher.

Due to its compact size, the VCC-8000U is also ideal for field editing applications, and rental editing systems.

Rental & Staging Application:
Rental & Staging companies have the dilemma of deciding what equipment and how much of it to stock.  When it comes to Multiviewers, Avitech has helped companies solve this problem by bringing to market the VCC-8000U, which in a single module handles DVI/VGA/YPbPr, HD-SDI, SD-SDI, and analog composite inputs.  You can simply configure the self-contained unit around the individual application, eliminating the need to stock many different types of multiviewer modules and their frames.  You can also cascade numerous VCC-8000U units together allowing you to expand your system to display up to 120 units on a single display.

AVITECH SOFTWARE OVERVIEW

COSMOS
Control system with Graphical User Interface (GUI) for configuration and editing of the Virtual Monitor Wall System. This software allows users to easily configure and edit presets on displays. Cosmos is also used to interface with leading routing switchers, production swichers, tally management systems for dynamic name changes and tally on the virtual UMD. Cosmos is a Windows based program that can run on any PC or laptop with Microsoft Windows XP or 2000. Cosmos has built in alarm and fault reporting capability, and when coupled with AviNET SNMP option, it becomes a very powerful control solution.

Cosmos can be bundled with the Avitech Touch Screen Control Panel to provide a virtual command center for the Virtual Monitor Wall system.

GALAXY
Galaxy is a simple yet powerful control system that is specifically designed for systems that are less complicated. It is ideal for fixed installations that do not need to integrate with 3rd party routers, production switchers or tally management systems. Layouts and presets can be made quickly be recalled by 3rd party control systems via IP or RS232.
