Official Statement -- Jay Rogina, CTS, President, InfoComm International

InfoComm International is sad to report that our Secretary/Treasurer, Michael Vergauwen, Executive Vice President and COO of AVI Systems, died in a drowning accident yesterday.

Michael Vergawen was a valued member of InfoComm's Board of Directors and was a tireless advocate for the audiovisual industry. He offered wise counsel and was a good friend to so many of us in the InfoComm family. He will be missed greatly, and we offer our sincere condolences to Michael's family and friends.

Funeral arrangements for Michael Vergauwen are pending. In the coming weeks, InfoComm will be announcing its plans to recognize his great accomplishments and contributions over the years.
