AMX has once again
been named a "Best Place to Work In America." This
is the third year in a row that AMX has been included in this
prestigious ranking.
The Best Places to Work Award list was announced
this week by the Society for Human Resource Management or
(SHRM) and selected and ranked by the Great Place to Work®
Institute (GPTW) , which works with FORTUNE Magazine, HR Magazine
and other leading publications in 29 countries around the
world to publish and recognize employer excellence. AMX was
proudly named number eight to the list of the top 25 mid-sized
companies in the U.S. for 2008.
"It is fantastic that we achieved an
even higher level of success this year. When you consider
our explosive growth over the past several years including
six acquisitions, doubling our number of employees, and achieving
record sales, I am extremely proud that our corporate culture
which encompasses our strong customer commitment along
with a positive, enthusiastic attitude toward everything we
do has remained intact," said Rashid Skaf, AMX
President and CEO. "Through the dedication and commitment
of our employees, this award again proves that great employees
do make a great company."
AMX has continued to pursue an accelerated
growth path since last year's ranking including several
new acquisitions, more than 120 product introductions and
an increase in our international expansion.
Last week, AMX announced that it acquired
Atrium Group Developments Ltd. This is the sixth acquisition
for the company in less than two years. Since 2006, AMX has
acquired and successfully integrated AutoPatch®, a leading
manufacturer of high-performance audio/video (A/V) signal
switching and distribution equipment, Endeleo, a manufacturer
of TV and multi-format media distribution technologies, Matrix
Audio Designs, Inc., a manufacturer of high-quality, multi-room
distributed audio systems, Inspiration Matters, a manufacturer
of digital signage solutions, and ProCon Technology, a manufacturer
of A/V switching and control equipment.
