VIDi HD MPEG-4 Streaming and Video On Demand In HD And UXGA Resolutions

Advanced Media Design (AMD), developer of the award-winning AV-over-IP collaboration technology MediaPOINTE®, today announced its VIDi HD Digital Network Streamer and VIDi HD-d Decoder. MediaPOINTE’s VIDi products are a part of MediaPOINTE’s new modular, scalable end-to-end video capture, streaming and distribution solution announced last month.

MediaPOINTE products are designed for those who wish to share information at any time, without fuss or long preparation. VIDi HD streams live presentations, training sessions, meetings, distance learning courses, digital signage, and videoconferences in high definition, 1080p resolution in MPEG-4 format. Users simply connect through a web interface and experience the stream on a computer or display monitor.

MediaPOINTE’s VIDi HD is a powerful streamer designed to deliver full-motion video up to 5Mbps, 30 frames per second to1080p resolution. With CD-quality stereo audio and full-resolution graphics streamed in either Unicast or Multicast modes, it provides an easy way to broadcast content to PCs and displays using a remote control, a simple web interface or RS-232 programmability.

Multiple streaming profiles designed to stream up to three inputs (a presenter, a presentation and a video clip, for example), can be programmed into the appliance. Presenters can simply and easily select the streaming profile desired without changing major settings; a streaming session is a simple click away.

MediaPOINTE’s new VIDi HD-d displays live streamed video from a MediaPOINTE VIDi HD streamer or DMR (Digital Media Recorder). With its small size, the VIDi HD-d facilitates clean and uncluttered installation environments; it can be discreetly mounted behind a display device for digital signage applications, meetings, presentations, lectures, and television programs. The VIDi HD-d has an easy GUI (graphic user interface) for effortless user control and an enhanced Control Line Interface for easier control programming and system integration.
