Adtec Digital announces the immediate
release of the signEdje-HD digital video player. The signEdje-HD
features MPEG 2 and AVC/H.264 high definition and standard
definition video file playback from internal solid state storage
or through IP stream decoding. Ideal applications for the
signEdje include digital signage, retail (kiosks and point
of purchase displays), trade shows, museums and private IP
networks.
The signEdje-HD features a built-in command interface and
content scheduler for a variety of successful playback options.
Broadcast quality video files can be programmed to play on
a loop when the unit receives power, triggered to play according
to time, or activated from external control systems via the
parallel or serial port.
Synchronized playback is also an option, which allows multiple
players to be deployed on the same network.
Whatever the source, the signEdje-HD automatically scales
video output resolution to match its target monitor's capabilities
up to a 1080i high definition display. Users can broadcast
both SD and HD content with the same player.
The signEdje routinely sizes video with advanced scalar algorithms
480i up to full HD at 1080i.
Video content is easily loaded, managed, and prompted for
playback using the included mediaControl software which runs
over Windows or Mac operating systems. Adtec's mediaControl
application allows broadcasters to manage files, play lists
and execute schedules. The software also allows users to view
log files and real-time playout data.
Ron Johnson, VP of Sales and Marketing for Adtec, says, "The
signEdje is the ideal solution for digital signage applications
where the playing of high quality video is needed. Its advanced
features make it suitable for a wide range of applications."
