Demonstrating for
the first time at InfoComm 2008, ITC's high-performance,
tool-less connectors are available in nickel and gold
plated models. To ensure long-term, reliable connections,
Instant Tool-less Connectors feature a captive center
pin that securely grips onto the center conductor using
a unique spring-tension system for maximum contact and
conductivity.
ITCs are also unique in their ability to be reused easily,
making them a cost-effective alternative to soldering
or compression systems. Both series of ITC connectors
are available in F, BNC, and RCA connector configurations
for 18 AWG RG6-type and 20 AWG RG59-type coax cable.
New Instant Tool-Less Mini Coax
Connectors Unlike compression mini connectors, with
a blind-entry that can misguide the center conductor, ITC's
mini connectors are designed to provide a more robust and
certain connection in the field. The installer performs
the braid termination with ease using one piece, while the
second piece has a smooth, tapped channel to guide the center
conductor in place. Then, you just twist until secure. In
addition, the connectors offer a minimum-resistance, easy
access center pin entry for the center conductor, whether
solid or stranded. ITC's mini coax connectors are the first
to use the braid for grip/pull, eliminating the need to
rely on thin wire jackets.
To ensure long-term, reliable connections,
the connectors feature a captive center pin that securely
grips onto the center conductor using ITC's patent pending
Grip-Lock system for maximum contact and conductivity. The
mini connectors are also unique in their ability to be easily
reused.
The new mini coax tool-less connectors will be available
in June 2008, for the termination of most 26 AWG mini coax
cables in both solid and stranded center conductors and
many 25 AWG cables depending on manufacturer's OD specification.
