The Conference will deal with specific environmental aspects that affect AV & VC Companies and will give delegates an outline of the impacts that these have on the environment. The event will also focus on specific legal requirements for IT waste disposal including the WEEE & ROHS legislation. The conference will also outline the requirements of ISO14001 and why this should be implemented. The Conference is aimed at two audiences: IT/Technology focused End Users & CSR Representatives who work for companies that are implementing Business wide Environmental Policies. These companies will also be looking at their supply chains to ensure they have Environmental Management Systems (EMS) in line with ISO14001/EMAS. Manufacturers, Vars, Integrators, Resellers & Consultants who work in the AV & VC market place who need to be aware of their responsibilities and who should be looking at implementing an EMS like ISO14001 as this will soon become a mandatory requirement from buyers. Barclays Bank will be a keynote speaker and will give an overview of their Environmental Policy including their targets for using sustainable resources and their goals for the reduction of CO2 emissions. They will discuss how they weighed up the Business Case against their Environmental Goals and how the increased use of Video Conferencing has contributed to their targets.
