Mersive Technologies, a leader in the creation of Ultra Definition (UD) displays, today announced the development of a cost-efficient, 11 megapixel ultra definition Stylus display for engineering design. The first in a line of Mersive m-Series displays, the m11 Stylus provides a seamless, rear projected 11 million pixel palette on a 14’ wide by 5’ tall viewable screen surface. Designed for engineering review and collaboration, the self-contained m-Series Stylus occupies only 36 inches of floor depth making it a perfect fit for small conference rooms and engineering work areas.
“Engineering and collaborative design have been severely limited by the complexity associated with high resolution displays for design review and communication,” says Randall Stevens, President and CEO of Mersive Technologies. “The m-Series Stylus sets a new standard for small footprint, ultra resolution engineering displays at an unprecedented cost per pixel.”
The m-Series Stylus helps engineers more effectively view high resolution information such as 3D design models, computational fluid dynamics (cfd) data, and still images. Engineers from a variety of fields including automotive, aerospace, design & construction and oil & gas will find myriad uses for the displays. Mersive also is assisting the leading visualization software providers to enable support for their applications on the m-Series displays. A limited number of units will be available beginning in September 2007.
Mersive will showcase the Mersive m11 Stylus along with other m-series ultra definition displays in Booth 15023 at the InfoComm exhibition, June 19th – 21st, in Anaheim, California. Other m–Series systems being displayed include the m27 Scryer, a 27 megapixel ultra definition display that measures 25’ 5” wide by 10’ 9” tall by 36” deep (24’ 5” x 8’ 7” viewable screen area) with a resolution 14x greater than HD. The m5 Navigator is a 5 megapixel tabletop ultra definition display (2.5x greater resolution than HD) and provides the ability to easily view high resolution maps and aerial photography. These displays are made possible by combining Mersive’s underlying SolTM Server software for multi-projector calibration and the company’s new StingrayTM software for media management and communication with ultra definition displays
