AV manufacturers gearing up for Asian growth at InfoComm Asia

Once again, Asias
AV community will gather in Hong Kong this November for an
update on the latest pro AV products and applications.
InfoComm Asia 2010, to be held from 17-19 November at the
Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre, will feature
some 320 AV manufacturers from 27 countries.
Occupying some 17,000 square metres of exhibition space on
one floor, the event will be a good opportunity for the AV
dealers, distributors, designers and systems integrators and
consultants to find not only new products but also new manufacturers.
They can also connect with Asian end users as 44% of the attendees
in the 2008 event came from the end-user markets.
Asia Pacific: worlds 2nd largest
AV market
With the Asia Pacific region overtaking Europe as the second
largest pro AV market in the world, according to an InfoComm
International® market survey, InfoComm Asia 2010 will
be a valuable source of new contacts and education for AV
professionals in Asia.
The survey shows that Asia Pacific accounts
for 25% or $16.8 billion of global sales, and forecasts the
region to be the fastest growing over the next three years,
at a CAGR of 13% vs 9% CAGR projected for Europe and North
America. By 2012, the Asia Pacific pro AV market is expected
to reach $23.9 billion, with China, Hong Kong and Taiwan,
taken together, having the largest share
(32%) of the market.
The Indian subcontinent market accounts for 9%, but is the
fastest growing at a CAGR of 23% between 2009 and 2012 (vs
14% for larger China), with a projected size of $2.66 billion
by 2012.

To participate in the growing Asian markets, many international
AV manufacturers have used the InfoComm Asia platform to increase
